How to choose your PC speakers?

Having a good PC speaker system allows you to access a better audio experience.

Listening to music, enjoying a movie or having fun with your favorite game with good sound are some of the advantages that you can appreciate by using, for example, good quality 2.1 speakers.

Sometimes with the purchase of a PC you will get a set of 2.0 speakers, along with the case, keyboard and mouse kit. These speakers will cover a basic use, although it is recommended that you aim for a slightly more sophisticated system.

Some of the aspects to take into account have to do with the output characteristics of your sound card, the dimensions of the room where you are going to place the speakers and the desired sound quality, also considering the financial expenditure that you must make.

As for your sound card, you should check if it has an analog output, an option offered by most mid-range and low-range cards. On more advanced audio cards, you can find a digital (optical) output for better sound quality.

Analog and digital inputs are different from each other. Some boards and speaker systems allow both types of connection, but others only support one of these methods.

In advanced models of PC speakers, you can use Bluetooth speakers, if your PC has that type of connection, avoiding wiring.

If you are in an office or somewhere where you can't turn the volume up too high, you can opt for a small or medium-sized 2.0 or 2.1 speaker system.

For your home, in a space that is not too large and if what you want is to listen to music, you can choose a 2.1 or 2.0 speaker system with medium or higher power.

The 2.1 speakers have two stereo satellite speakers and include a subwoofer (preferably you should choose wood) and most can be connected to the stereo output of the sound card.

If you have more space in your home, you can opt for larger 2.1 speaker options or 2.0 speakers to enjoy your games, music and movies. You can even think about a home theater system.

If you are looking for something more sophisticated, you can aim for a sound system with optical (digital) input, always verifying that your sound card supports it. You can also think about adding the remote control option.

If you use a laptop, a good option is to have portable Bluetooth speakers, which will be very useful.
