Are you looking for the right home theater for your home? We give you the keys on how to choose it.

If you like to enjoy a good movie, series or video game, it is the perfect time for you to take that big leap and immerse yourself in this great audiovisual experience.

The Home Theater is a solution if you are a lover of audiovisual content and want to enjoy a sensation in your home that is very close to the quality of a movie theater. They improve the audio of televisions and reproduce the sound quality of home theaters.

The number of speakers is variable and there is a wide range of options. They are usually accompanied by a subwoofer, responsible for achieving deep bass.

Below are 5 tips to help you choose a home theater:

1 – How much are you going to use your Home Theater?

This is a factor that should influence your choice of a home theater.

For daily use you can opt for sound bars, which, among other benefits, consume less energy than a home theater.

If you only want to watch movies at specific times or play high-quality music, your option is a multichannel amplifier. They are much bulkier, more expensive and also consume more energy.

2 – Is it better to buy an all-inclusive kit or custom design one piece by piece?

The kits allow you to use them right out of the box, with a simple installation, after which you begin to enjoy your Home Theater.

If you are more tech-savvy, you can purchase the components separately and spend more time searching for the perfect home theater for you.

3 – Do you need it to play all formats?

Some home theaters are capable of playing countless formats and that makes their price higher. They may include formats that you may never use and that is why you will have to analyze what formats you need.

If you're only going to use your home theater to play streaming content, television, or video-on-demand services, it doesn't need to play many formats.

4 – Is the size of the room important?

For a room of about 20 to 30m², a home theater or sound bar with between 30 to 50 W RMS power will be enough. For a larger room, you will probably need higher power.

For example, if your living room is larger than 60 m², you will need at least 100 W RMS of power.

5 – Wireless or wired?

There are wireless (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) and wired home theaters and sound bars. If you opt for the wireless system you will forget about cables and improve aesthetics.

The ideal is to have a Bluetooth wireless system, which has all the options and allows you to connect all the devices.
