Streaming music (Spotify, Deezer, Play Music, Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, YouTube) has made us leave aside the radio and the MP3 format. We no longer physically store songs on a pen drive, on our smartphone or on our laptop.
However, sometimes you want to play streaming on your old audio equipment and you cannot do so, because your equipment does not support Bluetooth.
Although these old audio equipment can be used with auxiliary connections via cable, a simple, practical and efficient alternative is to adapt them using a Bluetooth receiver.
In this note we explain how to add a Bluetooth receiver to revive your old audio equipment and also how to add a Bluetooth transmitter to your old TV, PC or laptop.
Your old audio equipment will undoubtedly have at least one auxiliary line input, which is usually in RCA or 3.5mm format. (miniplug). These inputs are more than enough for you to connect a Bluetooth receiver.
Simply take advantage of the auxiliary input and connect a Bluetooth receiver, sending the audio signal from, for example, your smartphone to the Bluetooth receiver.
The operation is very simple: you simply connect an analog audio cable (RCA / miniplug) from the output of the Bluetooth receiver to the input of the audio equipment. You connect from your smartphone to the Bluetooth receiver and all the audio will start playing via Bluetooth in your old audio system.
How does it work?
Very simple: the old audio equipment starts playing the audio that you send from your smartphone to the Bluetooth receiver.
It works well?
A good quality Bluetooth receiver does not harm the sound quality and there is practically no delay.
What audio equipment can you use the Bluetooth receiver with?
With any audio device that has an auxiliary line input.
What other devices can a Bluetooth receiver be used for?
For example, for a car stereo that does not have Bluetooth.
The bluetooth transmitter
Now we are going to talk to you about the Bluetooth transmitter. In this case, the Bluetooth transmitter is used to convert the sending of analog audio signals to wireless mode.
Surely your new Smart TV or your new laptop has the ability to broadcast Bluetooth.
But if you have an older TV or laptop, they most likely do not have Bluetooth and this is when the need for a Bluetooth transmitter arises.
Even in current TVs or laptops, there are models that do not have Bluetooth and require the use of a Bluetooth transmitter to transmit audio wirelessly.
The connection of a Bluetooth transmitter is identical to the one we explained to you for the Bluetooth receiver, but in reverse. Simply connect an analog cable (RCA or 3.5 mm) from the output of the device to be converted (TV, laptop, PC) to the input of the Bluetooth transmitter.
Then, the Bluetooth transmitter is linked wirelessly with the device that will receive the audio signal: speakers, audio systems, headphones, etc.
At Thonet & Vander we always offer you cutting-edge products and solutions.
For this reason, we have developed our FLUG ULTRA wireless Bluetooth receiver and transmitter.
It allows you to convert audio input and output signals to Bluetooth, with Bluetooth version 5.0, which ensures optimal connection quality and speed.
You can connect it in Bluetooth receiver mode to the input of your sound system, speakers or to your car stereo. Or also use it in Bluetooth transmitter mode, connecting it to the audio output of your TV, PC or laptop.
